10th April, 2007(Tuesday)
On Sunday, students and teachers from both ITE and IVE went to KL of Malaysia for 3 days trip. We crossed the border by coach bus and took a few hours to KL. The experience is similar to traveling back to China from Hong Kong. The weather in KL is cooler than in Singapore. However, the food here is not as tasty as in Singapore. A few of us even got stomachache and felt sick after the first dinner in KL. Thank God that they were not serious. We learnt to select food carefully.
The city plan in KL is not well-organized as Singapore. They look like cities in China. Many Chinese speaks Cantonese there. We visited Limkokwing University on the second day. It's a design college. The government fully supports the creative industry and education there. The university creates many brandings and the government supports them to promote in different cities. They own and run “10 Ten”(like 7Eleven) and “Wings Coffee” in the campus. They have exhibition hall to display student works and projects all through the year. We are looking forward to having such spaces in HKDI!
After 3 days visit, we couldn't wait to go back to Singapore. We miss our bed and food there! Of course, we have home sick of HK. We miss you and our family too!
